It's that time of year again! The nationwide butterfly count started today and - given the spectacular visitor yesterday - we were keen to participate once more.
Need less to say, there was no sign of the fritillary, but in the allocated fifteen minutes, there were 39 butterflies counted of eight different species. Strangely, not a single Small Tortoiseshell today, despite these being ever-present all week!
