Noctilucent clouds: my best-ever display!

While I was waiting for the full Moon to rise last night, I suddenly noticed that the northern sky was rapidly filling with the electric blue filaments and waves of a classic noctilucent cloud display. As I've mentioned here before, no-one is 100% certain of the cause of this phenomenon, but the best bet is that it's sunlight reflecting off dust and ice crystals.

The peachy washed so-called 'Buck Moon' rose at around 10.30, with Jupiter above and Saturn to the left (east!) I did crawl out of bed again at 3.00am to see if I could photograph the 'subtle lunar eclipse' or Comet Neowise, but there were clouds in the relevant parts of the sky.
