Linda and I joined Sue and Peter for a day in the north of the county, walking around two beautifully landscaped parks: Sheringham in the morning, Stody in the afternoon. In between we enjoyed lunch at Cley Visitors Centre, where a bonus Spoonbill headed west as we ate!
The main reason for the visits were to catch the impressive displays of Rhododendrons and Azaleas at both parks: there were plenty of other beautiful plants, though, including three huge Metasequoias at Stody. (Plenty of decent tea and cake around, too!)
Birds seen included Goldcrest, Raven (mobbed by Jackdaws at Sheringham) and Treecreeper. A great day out that finished with a glass of fizz in S&P's lovely back garden!
