As often happens at this time of year, Linda's bees have become 'fidgety' and two hives have swarmed this week. This is the way bees occupy new territories: a newly-hatched queen flies off, leading her entourage away to establish a new colony. Now bees are not cheap! So having found the latest swarm, Linda brushed them into a box, located the queen and placed her into an empty hive. Watch the amazing procession as the drones, workers and others march up a ramp towards the queen (attracted, of course, by her pheromones)
