No Goosander, but a Turtle Dove in the Yare Valley

Tina - a friend of Linda and mine - posted some photos of a Goosander she'd taken today at Ormesby. It being a fine evening I thought I'd go and take a look. Needless to say there was no sign of (this probably 'plastic') sawbill: just lots of Pochard. One of Tina's photos is included!

I took the country road home and was pleased to come across a calling Turtle Dove at a traditional haunt: the Moon was rising, so  I didn't stop long.
