As some of you may know, I once wrote a book about the Loch Ness Monster...
One of the popular theories at the time (1972!) concerned a strange little creature known from Carboniferous fossils discovered in Illinois. I'd always wanted one of these Tully Monsters: and eventually I managed to obtain a partial specimen (The head end!) The blobs on either side of the body are the creature's eyes.
All I need now is a Eurypterid to complete my collection of 'Fossils I always wanted in my cabinet'
