I will admit straight away that immature gulls - particularly those of the Herring Gull tribe - cause me no end of frustration when I come across an interesting-looking individual...
Reviewing the squillions of images from yesterday's visit to Cley, I took another look at this brute, photographed distantly during its very brief stay in front of Bishop's Hide: it looks pretty similar to some of the Caspian Gulls on the Cley Bird Club website. On the other hand, it has the look of a Lesser Black-backed, like the one I photographed at Buckenham earlier in the year. Informed opinions - as always - most welcome!
