A flying visit to Maidenhead produced far fewer Kite imaging opportunities than expected: possibly because most of the birds we saw were regrowing after moult, there just weren't the usual numbers. Still, a few came very close and uttered their thrilling call just over our heads.
Numerous Ring-necked Parakeets flew over M-in-L's rooftop without stopping and a huge hoverfly enjoyed the nectar at Saville Gardens. A waxing gibbous Moon hung above the horizon on Saturday night: even with a 300mm lens the terminator could be seen to be littered with craters!
