Feeling the need for some fresh air, Linda and I wrapped up warmly and headed eastwards to Winterton, parking by the side of the road for free (Why do people pay the exorbitant fees in the car park?!)
We walked south through the valley beyond the Hermanus Centre: to be honest, there was very little about, although a Blackcap in the Oaks and two flyover Ring Ouzels were some reward. Once the volume of unleashed dogs rendered further exploration pointless, we walked back to the café for a seawatch.
This proved to be a good decision: lots of Gannets were fishing fairly close in, while assorted auks and a few Little Gulls headed north. A trio of Scoter drifted backwards and forwards, while Linda picked up a large diver some distance out...
