Colourful pheasants on the Heath

Today the Reeve's Pheasants reappeared near Hemblington Church at almost the same time as last year. Alongside them were a number of really attractive blue-green 'Chinese Pheasants'. I asked the local gamekeeper about these colourful additions to the local wildlife and apparently they are released at the same time as the usual pheasants so that the gamekeepers can monitor the dispersal of the released birds.
