The number of the UK's latest fighter plane in service is gradually increasing, and its unique silhouette will no doubt become a familiar sight above East Anglia. Meanwhile, the US Air Force has begun replacing its aging (but still very capable) F-15s with F-35s: these will be based at Lakenheath. Already both types carry out mock attacks on Cantley beet factory and practise 'waxing each other's tail' over Broadland. Great if (like me) you enjoy the sight and sound of fast jets - not so great if you prefer a little peace and quiet!
