Grey Wagtails at Horstead Mill

Horstead Millpool is a beautiful place: whenever I'm in the area I spend a few moments quiet reflection, because its where my family sprinkled my Father's ashes some years ago. He had served in the RAF during WW2 and had been stationed (with Douglas Bader!) at Coltishall.

On my way home from visiting the Butterfly Orchids today I stopped at the Mill and was delighted to find a pair of Grey Wagtails sunbathing on a green boom across the river. This is a traditional location for the species, but it's been a while since I've seen any.
